James still demanding his way out of Arizona. I’m wondering where he could potentially land and can’t think of much. Maybe the Giants could flirt with that idea after losing Ward but I don’t see it. Maybe the Saints? Hopefully not the Texans (which makes a lot of sense losing out on Benson), I like him, I just want to get younger.

I’m okay with us getting a RB in the 2nd or 3rd because of how Slaton turned out but Kubiak needs to make sure he doesn’t become Mike Shanahan. Always thinking they can squeeze something out of a nobody. It’s failed several times before (remember Wali Lundy?) and because Slaton had a break out year he’s likely to keep the same “Shanahan knows best” approach.
You have to take the best player on the board no matter what when you’re a team on the edge. You have to get something out of your draft pick to make a push. Look at the Cardinals, they had decent corners, not great but they took who they thought was the best player and it helped make them a super bowl team (rodgers-cromartie).
If the players we want are gone at 16 don’t pull a 2008 and draft a player 20 spots before he’s going to go. Duane Brown would’ve been available in the 2nd round, stop trying to predict the draft too much.
If Orakpo, Matthews, Cushing, etc are gone then look at a player like Knowshon Moreno in my opinion. The guy is about the size Gibbs likes, has good (not great speed) but gives all the effort in the world, exactly the type of player we need.
If Adibi and Diles were worthy of picks, why not give them an opportunity to compete, why is a LB a sure fire pick for the Texans this year anyway? If you’re set on going OLB, why not pursue the best (Curry) with a trade? If you think Travis Johnson shouldn’t start then why not move up for Raji (big drop off after him!)? We’re all aware the Texans have many holes to fill but if there is a player on the board you feel can be elite or be a pro-bowler, you have to do everything in your power to get him. Don’t settle.
